Yay! Deirdre Fentem is my guest for Episode 16 of Grown Up Gigs! Michelle Ward Creative Career Coach whenigrowupcoach.com Deirdre Fentem Social Marketing Specialist littleredpromotions.com Deirdre Fentem and I met in 2007 when we were both Executive Assistants at the same finance company. She started a couple months after me, and as two creative former actors in a very corporate environment, we clung to each other and fell in platonic love. The main thing I remember about the 2 years and 7 months I spent in that job were the daily coffee walk-and-talks I took with Deirdre. Id gab about my life coaching training and what I was doing to build my business, and shed talk about her search for her dream career. Of course, I tried to coach her along her way, but she didnt want tools or exercises to figure it out she was looking for answered prayers. One day, she found it in an email asking if she knew anyone who would want to go to Thailand and volunteer with The SOLD Project. She raised her hand in an instant, leaving her life in New York City and the corporate landscape that went with it behind. That was in 2010. Since then, shes played a major role in the success of End Sex Trafficking Day, started and left more traditional office jobs, and now runs the show at Little Red Promotions full-time while still doing anti sex-trafficking advocacy work.
